# Can I switch my payment gateway?

While you technically can switch your payment gateway, all of your subscriptions are tied to the payment gateway they were created with.

If you change your payment gateway after you already have some subscriptions, those subscriptions will unfortunately start failing with no way to recover them except for the customers to start a new subscription or by switching back to your previous payment gateway.
