How can I increase subscription retention and decrease churn rate?

First, it is best to analyze your churn rate. The best way to analyze churn is to actually check the retention table in Seal Subscriptions > Analytics > Retention rate. The values in said table show how many customer kept their subscription active after reaching a specific number of renewals.

The best methods to improve the retention rate are the following:
- Giving loyalty discounts at a specific renewal. If you notice that your retention rate decreases after a specific renewal, you can apply a loyalty discount after this renewal to increase the retention rate.
- Offer an additional free product after they reach a specific renewal. You can do this with product automations in Seal Subscriptions > Automations. For example, you simply set up a product swap which adds the free product after a specific renewal and then set another product swap to remove the free product after the next renewal.
- Offering customers tiered subscription discounts. You can set these directly in Subscription rule in the Seal Subscriptions app. For example, give subscribers a 10% discount when they subscribe, but if they keep their subscription active for 5 renewals, increase this discount to 15%
