The system hasn't included a discount in the new updated product price on the subscription. Why?

If you configured the app to propagate product price changes in Seal Subscriptions > Settings > General Setting > Auto-charging subscriptions and also turned on the option to apply subscription discounts on the new prices and yet the system didn't apply the discount, then there are a few things to check:

  • check if the subscription interval matches the one in the subscription rule,
  • check if the product variant which is in the subscription is also in the subscription rule with the same interval as the one that is on the subscription itself,

If these two conditions are fulfilled, then the system should apply the discount from the subscription rule on the new product price. However, if it still didn't do that, then it could be that you deleted the variant, which is currently in the subscription, from Shopify admin > Products and then recreated it. This means that Shopify updated variant IDs and the old one which is in the subscription doesn't exist in Shopify and your subscription rule anymore. To resolve that, simply edit the subscription, remove the variant from it, then re-add it back to it and save the subscription. This will make sure the new variant is in your subscription.
